Multitasking is one of the hottest machine concepts for producing quality complex parts for industries as diverse as aerospace, oil and energy, medical, and off-highway, construction, and farm equipment, as well as general engineering. Multitasking machines [MTM] consolidate operations in one setup, make more efficient use of resources, realize the pursuit of done-in-one and one-pass machining, minimize tolerance stack-up, and eliminate repetitive fixturing and dead transportation time, as well as reducing the throughput time.
Similarly 5 axis machining finds wide spread applications in aerospace, energy and medical machining. At the same time they are one of the most difficult machine tools to learn and use. With India emerging as an important hub for aerospace manufacturing, adopting these newer manufacturing concepts with Multi tasking and 5 axis machines, is more crucial now.

The need for Productivity Institute
Realizing the need to enhance the skill sets of fresh engineers in mechanical engineering to make "Industry Employable" and to mould them as per the company requirements, IMTMA organizes
The rapid growth of Indian machine tool Industry and the increasing sophistication of machine tool has created the need for a new breed of machine tool technologists.
